Reference manual

The reference manual is generated automatically by CRAN for the stable release. It contains all the help pages of the package. It can be useful to see all features of the package at a glance.

Demos

The package contains a number of script files demonstrating its features. If the package is installed, the list of available demos is obtained from within R with

> demo(package = "actuar")

The demo files are also available here:

Vignettes

Package vignettes are longer PDF documents complementing the help pages. If the package is installed, the list of vignettes available in the package is obtained from within R with

Otherwise, the vignettes in the stable release of actuar are available from CRAN.

Other

A comprehensive paper presenting the package is published in the Journal of Statistical Software. A non-technical summary also appeared in the R Corner of the Expanding Horizons newsletter of the Society of Actuaries.

Vincent Goulet presented version 0.9-3 of the package at the Astin Colloquium in Orlando in June 2007. The presentation consisted of a few slides and mostly demontrations of the features of the package from R code.
